Through the Philippine Embassy Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Filipinos in Israel were
gathered together to officially welcome the Yuletide season last Dec. 2, 2017 at the Terra Santa
School in Yaffo, Tel Aviv Israel. With the collaboration of the different Filipino Communities in
Israel this became a tradition for 8th years now.
In the absence of Ambassador Nathaniel Imperial, Charge d’affaires Randy Arquiza, thanked
everyone who participated and supported the event. He highlighted our Filipino trait which is

Bayanihan or communal unity that we Filipinos always brought with us wherever we are in the globe.

And, it is the same reason that the evenings celebration is a success.
Aside from the Parole competition. Performances from different communities lit the spirit of
the Holidays season through Christmas caroling and Kantaserye that depicts the overseas
workers longing to be with their family on this most religious holidays for Filipinos.
Of course, the celebration is not complete without out the presence of a very important figure of Christmas, Santa Claus who elated the kids spirit when he started distributing gifts for them .

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!
