April 24 to 26, 2025 – Iceland

The European Network of Filipino Diaspora (ENFiD)’s annual conference proved auspicious for the continental foundation for Overseas Filipinos and Overseas Filipino Workers in Europe.

This is because they were warmly welcomed to the country by no less than HE President Halla Tomasdottir at the presidential residence in Reykjavik on 24th April.

President Tomasdottir was very complimentary about the mainly women leaders of ENFiD, as she described the paintings by women in her reception room, and lauded the contributions of Filipino migrants to Iceland.
The delegation was led by Marison Rodriguez , ENFiD Chair from Czech Republic, and the presidential visit was organized by Marvi M.A. Gil and Evelyn Rojas Tagalog , leaders of host ENFiD Iceland.

The country reps presented various Filipino inspired gifts to the president who welcomed such generosity.

Accompanying them were current and former Board of Directors comprising Marizel Rojas of ENFiD Austria (accompanied by daughter Sarah Rojas), Ester Beatty and Valerie Badilla Valerie of ENFiD Cyprus, Gina Sollano Hardy of ENFiD Norway, Marcelina Manalo-Ermert of ENFiD Switzerland, former Chair Christian Christian W Estrada, Leny Cordero, Maribel Pascua Favor and Founding Chair Gene Alcantara of United Kingdom.
